White Water Rafting – Cagayan de Oro City

White water rafting is one of the Tourist attraction in Cagayan de Oro City. Cagayan de oro city is now the rafting capital in the Philippines.

The Beginner’s Course cost Php 700 per person which will take get you a 14 km ride with 18 rapids with professional rafters to do the command. You can make an arrangement with the Rafters to avail discount specially if you are more than 10 or you go there for team building. They offer free pick-up from the airport or from the Hotel. They provide you safety gears like helmet, vest, paddle and dry bags for your valuables. They also have the Advance and Extreme Course which will start at Bulao River in San, Isidro Talakag Bukidnon. We took the Advance Course which is 20km ride with 21 rapids.

Before we get in to the raft, our guide conduct a brief training and instructions. They provided us safety rules and boat guides. The passengers must know how to paddle forward and backward to control the movement of the raft.

We used ZEBEC, a high quality inflatable boat for water sports. The raft is made with tough quadruple reinforced seams. The bottom is made of super heavy duty material. We started using the blue raft but our guide decided to change the raft with this yellow one so that we would really feel the rapids because this is smaller than the blue one.

The guide told us that we need to paddle harder so that we can pass that big lava rock, though we know it’s impossible and that will just turn the raft upside down, we just follow the rules because we know that our guide would just like us to experience to fall from the raft. Then we climb large lava rock and jump afterward. It’s really, really fun.
Never miss the White-water rafting adventure in Cagayan de Oro city and enjoy the breathtaking rapids that will really hardened your adrenaline.
